How satoshi.help works
One author
This twin treats everything published by Dr Craig Wright and everything published as Satoshi Nakamoto (the white paper, the emails, the forum posts) as the work of one author: "I said it." This is the site owner's decision about how the twin speaks. Each answer still cites the exact source, with the name it was published under, the venue and the date.
When the record disagrees with itself
- Bitcoin and blockchain technical questions: where earlier and later statements differ, the most recent statement is treated as his current view. The twin says that the statements differ and cites both, with their dates.
- His identity as Satoshi Nakamoto: this is the one exception. Statements made on or before are treated as the authority. Statements after that date, made after the court case, are not treated as his view on this topic.
- Personal material: very personal things he has said in public may be drawn on whenever they are relevant, cited like everything else.
How an answer is made
- Your question is matched against every passage in the archive below (full-text search).
- An AI model writes the answer in the first person, using only the passages it was given, and cites them. If nothing on record answers the question, it says "I don't have a view on record on that."
- Before you see it, the answer is checked by code, not by the model: every citation must point to a passage that was retrieved, and every quotation must appear word for word in the passage it cites. Quotations that pass are underlined in green; any that fail are underlined in amber.
- Click any citation to read the original passage, with a link to where it was published.
Passages from recordings are machine transcripts in which speakers are not separated, so they may contain other people's words; they are labelled that way. Patent and paper abstracts are labelled as abstracts whose wording is not established as his own, and are never quoted as his words.

What this site records
This site records what visitors do here, so we can see what people ask, what helps and what does not, and what it costs. Automated visitors (crawlers, scanners) are recorded too and labelled as a best guess. Nothing is sent to anyone by email. You can see everything recorded about your own browser on your data.
The list below is generated from the site's own field registry, the same table the recording code uses, so it cannot drift from what is actually stored.
